Intruder Detection

Alarms are undoubtedly the most effective deterrent against burglary. Burglars are more likely to avoid a home or business fitted with an intruder alarm - so it’s important to place the external alarm box in a prominent position where a burglar or intruder can’t miss it.

Red Alert is a NACOSS (NSI Gold) approved company.  This is the highest level of accreditation in the UK so you can be assured that you are getting the best possible advice in terms of the type of alarm you need and a professional installation.

There are two main types of intruder alarm:

• Hardwired – (connected by cables to  the main control system and power supply)
• Radio / Wireless – (similar to a wireless computer network system, the detectors are powered by battery)

You can either choose to have a stand-alone system, which sets off a bell or alarm on your property; or a monitored system, which notifies the police (via your monitoring control centre) and a key holder, as well as setting off the alarm on the property.
